FBCCI to create jobs for 10,000 destitute poor, Bangladesh

The 3rd two-day Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Capital Market Fair will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday next at the auditorium of Chittagong chapter of Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).

Five seminars on the capital market will also be held at the auditorium of Chittagong Club beside the two-day fair where renowned economists are expected to present their key-note papers.

The authority of the CSE informed these to the newsmen convening a press conference at its conference room this afternoon. Vice-President of the CSE Fakhor Uddin Ali Ahmed read out the written statement while CSE Vice-President AQI Chowdhury, Directors Tareq Kamal, ASM Shahidullah, Chief Executive Officer of the CSE Mohammad Atiquzzaman and CSE high-officials attended the press conference among others.

Referring to the ongoing overwhelming response from retail investors Fakhor Uddin Ali Ahmed said that the bourses trade volume would be double by next year. If this ongoing trend to the capital market continues our country's economic growth will increase significantly, he added.

He informed that the daily average turnover was Taka 5 crore in 2005 in the CSE while in 2009 it raised to Taka 63 crore. When GrameenPhone shares will debut on the bourses the capital size and daily turnover will be significantly increased, A total of 30 institutions including Brokerage Firms Merchant Banks, leasing Comapnanies, Banks and other CSE listed companies will took take part in the two-day fair.

Chairman of Security and Exchange Commission Ziaul Haque Khandokar will inaugurate the fair as chief guest while President of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited Rakibur Rahman, Chairman and CEO of Ekushey Television Abdus Salam will attend the inaugural function as the special guests.
